The Indian subcontinent has a tremendous amount to offer the spirited traveler. At the same time, the sights, sounds and pace can be overwhelming, and independent travelers can face cultural and logistical challenges. While the region’s rapidly growing tourism infrastructure presents an opportunity to travel in a higher level of comfort than ever before, land and air travel can still be arduous and proper planning is essential.
I started From Lost to Found Travel in 2009 because I saw an opportunity to provide concierge-level trip planning services for curious people who want to explore this part of the world. My extensive travels in the region enable me to offer valuable insights into a range of destinations and activities and to address the specific interests and traveling styles of my clients.
My partners in India have been organizing and leading trips throughout this region for over 25 years. As such, they have an extensive network of contacts upon which to draw when designing and executing custom trips for individuals and groups. Together, we are committed to doing the on-the-ground research necessary to design novel itineraries not on the traditional tourist circuits. This includes inspecting hotels, testing driving routes, scouting local eating spots and making local contacts wherever necessary. I personally spend several months each year traveling with clients, researching new destinations for future itineraries, and meeting with travel suppliers - not a bad line of work.
